Attraction

A lot of those thoughts --- yes,
Have been inside my mind
Overpowering my thought streams
On every aniversary time.
People cannot let go of pain and hurting moments
While they can easily forget about
Those happy satisfying events.
I am a bug, a tiny ingnorant bug
who wants to fly into the fire and get burnt.

Space to Grow

People need space to grow: personal space, emotional space, physical space. Privacy is considered one of the spaces that everyone needs. With the up-tide of the technology, all the self expressive means of internet connections like myspace or YouTube or Facebook and even regular blogging has come together to reduce the privacy of a person. The virtual imaginary boundary of personal and public property has been fading away. It is happening globally in different means. Our DNAs, in addition to finger prints, are taken as imprint to track us. For example, Japan is one of the countries initiating to take prints of the in-coming visiting foreigners. IP addresses, credit cards, bank accounts, school IDs can all track back to a person's traces of life. Today blogging is like mini-biographies to me. How much space we should give away? How much space we should maintain as a private events of life, so that we can still have some more space to grow?

Shall We Worry?

If I haven't stress enough of the power of globalization lately, here we come again. U.S stock market drops and the effect became global. The turmoil of the stock market, --- the melting of the U.S economy, --- the sub prime mortgage troubles, --- everything comes from the original sin, the bubbled greedy growth of the real estate world booming. So many people enjoyed cheating in the bubble in different unthinkable ways -- lenders are too greedy to check upon the reliability of the borrower while the borrowers and also ready to act on whatever it takes. In addition to that, the weakest link "Bush Administration" is letting the president playing golf, horse back riding and vacationing most of the time within 8 years of his presidency. Thank God! His time is coming to an end. Now that he is going to leave the country with the weak stomach and a punching hand. I resentfully think sometimes that it would serve right for those who had voted Bush, especially for the second term. I miss Clinton legacy when the country was more peaceful, even though he stated on the national television that he did not have sex with that woman, and then sang the song of "Oops! I did it again." People forgive him. People are buzzing Democrats are going to win for sure this time around. I don't know who will win, --- but we seriously need the captain who will turn around the country for the sake of average crowd.

Civil Rights

Today is Martin Luther King day. It reminds me of the Civil rights which is abundantly missing in the golden land of Myanmar. In U.S dark side of the history, the white crowd put down the black folks, and stripping away the basic right of equal opportunity. However, they eventually learn to know that to be better is not pressing down others but try oneself to grow faster. We can never forget Dr.King for his greatness, courage, honestly, and peace loving heart. I respect the bravery and sacrifices of those powerful leaders loved by people for generations. A life that is well lived.

8888

Chinese are going to have an opening ceremony of 2008 Olympics on August 8, 2008 at 8:00PM. It is an irony that the number that is so auspicious to Chinese government is the most dreaded number for the Burmese Military Dictators. If their superstitions are true, both governments should concern the outcome of their alliances. Who is getting which part of the Ying and Yang out of their deals? Interesting enough.
P.S. Japanese love 8888 too, such a lucky number for them because 8 in Japanese Kanji is written in such way that it implies 'the good end result'. Even the car with license plate 8888 is traded very expensively in Japan.

Reaching for the Root

Why?
It's been too long ---
Haven't seen her smile
Haven't hear her thoughts
Haven't inspire her courage.

How?
Time has pass so swift ---
Knowing she is there by our sides
Knowing we've been sinking in a quick sand
Knowing one has taken advantage of the others.

When?
We will reach our destiny ---
Free from the fears
Free from the tears
Free from losing the dears.

Yes!
For her,
For ourselves,
For our love ones,
Let's get up and walk
Let's loosen up and talk
Let's wake up and stop the cause.

Globalization

I couldn't write much lately because I was busy with craft projects and the interesting cultural exchange blog Gimme Your Stuff and other swap groups. Checking craft buddies' impressive projects keeps my inspiration stronger. Lovely someone from Britain to Spain, Japan, and Singapore, --- I was busy travelling around the world with the net speed. Occasionally hearing strong Nationalism messages here and there, for me, I felt like, Globalization and co-operation is the future. Internet is the big evidence. Drawing arbitrary boundaries is less and less effective in this new age. Japan is my respected model. They globalize everything, --- living, technology, and even fashion. (Tokyo is now considered the modern fashion house of the world for most famous designers, while Paris has been a traditional fashion house of the world). However, if one ever visits or gets a chance to live in Japan, one can feel the strongest nationalism in their hearts. Nationalism is not what one says, how one lives, act or wear. It is what stays in the heart. It is the sentiment from one's heart and soul.

The Scar

Not so pretty,
When the wound has reached the deepest layer.
Everyday,
I am convincing myself that it is feeling better.
Yesterday,
On a scratch, --- Yes! it's still there.
With a surprise,
I had a tear fallen down
Down towards the ground with a gravity.
To the origin.
To the force.
To the field.
With this scar,
I may never escape the pain.
In the deepest silence.
The big scar was laughing at me-----.

Independence Day Thought

Independence is not what one says,
it is what one feels.
The freedom, --- freedom to express:
freedom to choose;
and freedom to lead the way of life as one desires.
Our morality has been systematically broken down within past 60 years.
People don't know what they don't know anymore.
So, ignorance is a bliss.
That's those who are leading the country into a downward spiral.

For the Lady

Someone with love,
stated that we should take care of her
rather than depending on her;
Someone with love,
encouraged us that we should consider
the Lady has aged and faltered health;
Someone with love,
reminded us that we should stand on our own feet
protect ourselves and lead our own destiny;
But ---
How can we stand on our feet
when we have nothing to eat?
How can we lead
when our memories have been
psychologically and physically deleted?
How can we achieve
when our own flesh has eating us up indeed?
We need an inspiration,
We need an educated mind,
the one such as this one true Lady,
who will neither grow old nor falter in our heart.
The more they take her away,
the deeper she attaches to our root of inspiration.
As an eternal light,
guiding us to the end of the longest tunnel,
to our way out, to escape the darkest clouds.
