Ready made Resolution

Another year to new.
With another resolution??
Of course I have
a ready made resolution.
Well planned
and well thought of.
Here is a few.
A few that goes in my list.
As is.

I would love to travel.
Make new friends.
See the world.
Embrace the abundance of culture.
Try something new.
Renew the old dear one.
Build a castle.
Organize my world.
Walk in the sun.
And ---
Hike that mountain to the peak.
Make a memorable,
just to mark a milestone.
Smile and laugh more often.
Forget the unforgiven;
Forgive the unforgotten;
And stretch my happiness
towards the infinity.
beyond my limiting capacity.

Lyrics:
My Back Pages
by Bob Dylan

Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
"Rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic flocks of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Girls' faces formed the forward path
From phony jealousy
To memorizing politics
Of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists
Unthought of, though, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

A self-ordained professor's tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
"Equality," I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not I'd become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
My existence led by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Coincidence

Little coincidences
pass by.
Unintentionally,
just a flick of second,
which seems like it has been destiny to be.

Are we going to grab it
Or are we going to let it by?

Probably---
some moments are destined to be
while others are simply coincidences.
When the tiny events coincides each other,
it creates a mosaic of unexpected touch in life.

Do dare to play unsafe sometimes.
Be liberal. Take a risk.
Do dare to confess your feelings.
Do dare to express what makes the difference in your life.
Let's find the one and be appreciative of the one
who will complete your life.
For Love,
For Peace,
and for Happiness.

Lyrics:
Some Hearts are Diamonds
by Chris Norman

Open your heart to all of those years
Baby you look through a rainbow of tears.
You watched your dreams all fadin' away
This time you're right
oh you make my day.
Years may come
years may go
But I still love you and I want you to know:
Some hearts are diamonds
Some hearts are stone
Some days you're tired of being alone.
Some hearts are diamonds
Some hearts are stone
It takes two lovers to be as one.
Illusions of love
they'll come and they'll go
Trust in your heart
may be your love will grow.
Your silent tears they're so full of pride
Baby I know that you can't run and hide.
You need love like I do
I hope you want me like I know I want you.
Some hearts are diamonds
some hearts are stone---
Some hearts are diamonds
some hearts are stone---
Some hearts are diamonds
some hearts are stone
Some days you're tired of being alone
Some hearts are diamonds

Home

Home is a land very far far a way.
Once upon a life time.
Home is existing
only in my dreams now.

I have left my home
and lost my way of going back.
Or could it be that the home has left me?

Home is a place where there were green and golden paddies.
The orange red sun rises at the horizon in the early morning fog.
A river that flows from north to south.
And a flock of white cranes that can fly so close by the roof.

Colorful kites roam and fight in a clear blue sky.
The evening breeze that carry the tide in the evenings.
The sound of the rain drops on the metal roof.
The fragrance of the jasmine in the early morning
and that of Saun-daw-kuu in the late night breeze.

The sound of the hollow log from a far;
The joy of carrying a rain drop on a Pain leaf;
The smell of a sticky rice and steamed beans at the dawn;
Romantic art of pressing the Kha-yay flowers in the journals;
Morning dews on the spider web.

Every sense is a dim memory in the far away land of memory.
A treasure that has lost over time.
A home that I used to know is not existing anymore.

It exists;
Only in my dreams.
When I can dream.
And yet, there are times
that I still want to be home,
The home that I used to know.

Lyrics
I'll be Home for Christmas

I'm dreamin' tonight of a place I love
Even more then I usually do
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
If only in my dreams

Smile

Let's have a big smile.
For you and me.
For all around us.

Let's live our life fully.
Enjoy and free.
Love and live tenderly.

Let's leave the bitterness behind.
Forgive and forget.
Embrace the sweetness of time.

Let's letting go of our sadness.
Looking up the sky.
Gazing beyond the infinity.

And
Smile;
Smile just for you and me.

Lyrics:
Smile
by Nat King Cole
Words by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons and music by Charlie Chaplin

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky,
you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Feng Shui of the Flags

Flags are the essential part of the human state of mind. It resembles and represents the group of people with the same purpose. We need to consider all the weaknesses and strong points of the symbols that we will be using to represent ourselves. Americans use eagle to represent their courage and bravery. If you think of it, eagle is a very powerful bird, which has a powerful sight and strength. It flies high in the sky. They use force and specification to attack their opponent or the prey. All of the characters of eagle is very auspicious. In contrast, no offense, when Burmese student groups chooses the fighting peacock as their symbol of persistent fighting with a brave heart, I think peacock is not very powerful. The main high light of the fighting peacock is their bravery to fight until death prevail them. It is not too auspicious. And if you pay attention to the history of the Burmese student groups, since the use of the peacock flag, mass and mass of students sacrifice had repeated in the history. Peacocks are very easily spotted without any camouflage and may be that's why student leaders are always easily arrested by the military intelligence most of the time. Peacocks are slow moving. They cannot fly too high and most of the time they are passive. On the other hand, the animal symbol used by the Burmese military is a lion. Lion are known to be king of the jungle. May be that's why it has been so hard to overthrow them. But every animal has inevitable weaknesses and flaws. Lions are known to keep power in one leader which is not very democratic. There is a proverb that "No two lions share one cave". That is why, on the side of the military leaders, there always is a power struggle for the number one spot and there always exist the paranoia of the number one who is always afraid of the other lions in his pack who has potential to take over his throne. In summary, I suggest that the Burmese student group should seriously consider to pick another powerful auspicious symbol to carry as their flag together with the peacock flag which should never be forgotten.

A Time to Change

Nothing can stay constant, well --- except death. Everyone, everything, good causes, bad influences, happiness, or despair, whatever it is, there always will be a time to change. A time to cease the existence has to come. There is no escape. There is nowhere to hide. Embrace the change. Welcome the inconsistency. Prepare for the renewing life, --- and we all will be fine. Just fine. A change is not always good. Yes, there are bad times, painful eras, and violent periods. Look to the bright side though, we also have kind and generous people, trustworthy friends, sacrificing heroes, and prosperous nations. Looking forward to a new year to come, a time to change. We need the courage to change.

Lyrics:

The RevolutionCheck Spelling. Light A Fire. Liberty
by Christ De Burgh

Wake up boys, there's a light at the window,
I can hear someone knocking on the door,
There are voices in the street,
And the sound of running feet,
And they whisper the word --"Revolution!"

There are men coming down from the valleys,
There are tall ships lying off the coast,
And they carry the light,
In the dark of the night,
Like a whisper in the wind --"Revolution!"

Bring my gun and a handful of silver,
By the sea we will gather for the fight,
It's been so many years,
So many tears,
We have lost once before,
Now we'll settle the score,
When our cannons will roar --"Revolution!"

Watch and Wait get ready for the sign
There are many here among us now have not seen the light
We must send the word to all the people in the land
Go to every hill and mountain for the time is now at hand to

Light a fire!
Light a fire!
Light a fire!
Let us march the road up the rocky hill tonight,
Under cover of the darkness
We will slip behind the lines
And we will take the men who have stolen our land,
For the years of domination
Hit them right between the eyes
And light a fire!
Light a fire,
Light a fire,
They will see through the world!
Roll away the dawn,
Roll away the dawn and let me see,
The land of the free,
Has anything changed at all;
Sweet liberty,
Sweet liberty is in our hands
It's part of the plan,
Or is it a state of mind?
Horses and men,
Horses and men are on the field,
They didn't yield.
Many have fallen here;
Never forget
Never forget what they have done,
The time will come,
When it will change again.
Never forget!
Never forget!

Time of Giving

Love is the most thankful gift that one can ever received.

Lyrics
The Gift
by Jim Brickman

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true

Sitting by the fire we made
You're the answer when I prayed
I would find someone
And baby I found you

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away
And I'm thankful every day
For the gift

Watching as you softly sleep
What I'd give if i could keep
Just this momentif only time stood still
But the colors fade away
And the years will make us grey
But baby in my eyes
You'll still be beautiful

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away
And I'm thankful every day
For the gift

(Instrumental)
All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away
I can't find the words to say
that I'm thankful every day
For the gift.

Competitive

"A fair competition is needed for a healthy economy," someone said on TV while I was not paying attention much. Aren't we naturally competitive? Historically, we've been fighting each other for the survival, faith, power, lust, and simple greed. It is funniest excuse to hear when someone uses physical abuse or weapons to keep peace and order of the family, nation, or the world. I am one of those who believe in bringing peace by practicing peaceful act. While criticizing others for corruption, we should analyze ourselves on what level we, ourselves, are corrupted consciously or unconsciously. We always have excuses for ourselves though. As long as we can look away from the injustice because the situation simply is profiting us or our beloved ones, the power of corruption will be stronger than ever. If we can just take away and happy with the bonuses while some of our co-workers, colleagues, are being laid off, why would we complain those who are excising power to root the cancer of corruption in the bureaucratic organizations. It is what we refrain ourselves from. Temptations are out there --- It's a jungle. Are we going to be mindful? Or are we voluntarily going into the embrace of the tightening vines of greed. Let's be real. Let's be rational. Let's bring back our morals.

Milestone

For more than a decade,
There were struggles, there were easy rides;
And there also were pain and joy.
For the tomorrows to come, we are still hand in hand,
facing rain, snow, and sunny days.
With much affection, with much strength;
Welcoming the new days,
To unfold the petals of our life---
One by one, bravely, beautifully,
and very uniquely.

Kiss Me
by Sixpence

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

[Chorus:]
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map

[Chorus (repeat)]

4Ma Lady

Nicholas: I admire your strength and Independence.
Madelene: But I am getting tired of being strong.
Nicholas: Yes. Weakness is tiring, while being strong is exhausting.
Madelene: I cannot ask you to save me.
Nicholas: No, no, --- I am too weak to save you. What I am offering here is to save ourselves together.

Colors of the Seasons

Winter:
Season of Snow
White and light blue represents snow and ice. Red is to invite the warmth or the fire which is used to keep one comfortable in the winter season. Dark green means the endurance of the cold, the sign of survival, and the liveliness of the season. Gold color is used as the signs of prosperity and richness to come in the coming new year.

Spring:
Season of Flowers
Light green resembles the new growth, new leaves, and the youth, a new start. Light pink shows the vulnerability, softness of the flower petals, and love.

Summer:
Season of Sun
Bright yellow or bright orange represents the sun/sunny days. White is also used to protect one from heat since white is the color spectrum which reflected all the wavelength of the colors from the sun. Bright light blue is to appeal the cold and calm blue sea of the summer.

Fall:
Season of Leaves
Yellow, orange, brown, the colors of the fallen leaves dominate the fall color mood. It uses some shades of green and dark red which are also the colors of the leaves.
