Selling the Soul to Devil

Just too tempting for simple money. It is just a minor thing to say or do. Very short statement with so much fallacies. So much to gain to taint the reputation. They must be desperate. Must be desperate enough to climb up the social ladder by pushing and stepping down on the people who are already drowning. That is a shameful life to live on the dying people. They have broken the Golden Rule, " Treat others as you would like to be treated." According to Newton's third law, "When there is an action, there will be a reaction." It will come back and haunt them as a reaction for what they have done and say irresponsively. Happiness is a temporary state, especially those that are gained by trading with the materials including money. Their expertise are in question and their reputations are shattered. Just too shameful.
1. Grant Peck (associated press writer)
2. Ramesh Shrestha (UNICEF representative in Myanmar)
3. Alistair Henley ( Head of International Federation of Red Cross)
4. Ben Ramalingam and John Mitchell (disaster researcher)

There is only one simple question for them, " If not more than one or two thousand of international aid workers have an access to storm affected area (not more than one week permit) to cover up for about two million people in the area of very limited transportation and very limited freedom to conduct their task, how can they possibly do a reliable research on what is going on there?" Research expert opinion or a good journalist article is not based on one week "hear say" data. Whatever they are saying is lack of reliable data to call for a judgement. Their opinions are as good as all those rumors on the streets of Burma.

The Quiet Land

Until today,
As always,
the storm has passed
the news, media, international attention is waning;
National tension is still sustaining.
Endurance is boundless
in this quiet land.
People whisper---
whisper the news, rumors, stories
and pass along everyday,
Where are the heroes?
Where are the knights?
Where are the saviours?
In the quiet land,
people look up the sky
people look into the vast sea
to find what they wanted to see.
The sky is still clear,
The sea has been clam down.
No reaching hand to lift them up,
No, not yet.
Not yet.
In the quiet land,
people have fallen down
slowly, unconsciously, some --- painfully,
willfully, and some unknowingly---
one after another
including one's daughters,
brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers.
In the quiet land,
there are dreams --- somewhat broken
there are prides --- somewhat beaten
there are hopes --- somewhat taken.
In this quiet land.

UN to Cover their Sorry *ss, Here Comes "Dengue Project"

After about a month of devastating Nargis Cyclone in Burma, ---

After the famous notorious inhumane actions of the irresponsible Burmese Dictators, ---
After Ban Ki-moon has 'so called' flew over the storm effected delta area, ---
UN is launching "Dengue project" in Burma.
In Burmese proverb, there is a saying for that.
"Applying the medicine onto injure person, but not on the area of injury."
Millions of people literally have nowhere to live,
nothing to eat for the given moment.
People are dealing with a harsh monsoon weather without shelter,
and fighting against starvation and hunger, proper clothing to wear.
The corpse are lying about everywhere without proper disposal.
There is no clean water to drink.
UN's years and years of international relief experiences of dealing with the crisis,
is a laughing stock when we hear their huge "Dengue project".
Mr. and Mrs. humanitarians with a warm heart,
they sure are worry about the mosquito bites.
Probably, they haven't been starved, living without shelter in their lives.
So, mosquito bites during their fun camping trips must be scary.
Think how to provide the victims with food, cloth, and shelter, basic need first.
Let us see a reasonable priorities.
Then, we can welcome UN's Dengue Project.

Who Dare to Say Any Ill about Aung San Su Kyi

She has given a big chunk of her life time,

The life full of promise, potential, and satisfaction;
just for people like you and me.
Do not blame for what she hasn't done yet
Do not hypocrite for what she should have done;
She has done her best and everyone should be grateful for that.
No one is perfect, there will be flaws.
I have heard that "Genuine stones are never flawless."
It is easier to say "Should have and could have and would have"
Rather than taking into action and contribute the work.
She is 63 years old, she has served her life to people
without any salary or pension or property.
The only thing that she has gained is
International respectful reputation, Love, Trust and Support of people.
She can meditate at home if she wants to.
She can be quiet if she likes to.
Why not? She is Burma's Sweet Heart.
Everyone will always be grateful for what she has done.
Who wants to be ungrateful for what she could not done?
Do you? Oh! no, no, --- not me.
Not me.

Do the Math

Ban Ki-moon or anybody else
Please do the math.
2 million victims : 10 helicopters :45 visas
After a month of devastation.
How can they sleep?
Knowing that they could have helped,
but ignored and turned their head away, and
Pretending to be a compassionate saviour.
Saviour?
Everyone knows what one did and what one did not do.
Image of Great Leaders are not written by the superficial diplomatic games.
It is written by the courage and compassion of those,
the names of who sink deep in the heart of the people.
Generations after generations till the end.
At that end of the time line ---
we know, they know, everyone knows;
Who do the math in what way.
All the way.

Sadness

The storm has left me
in this mood;
Following the flood
is the flood of my tears;
Following the strong wind
is the wind of diplomacy;
Following the hunger
is the hunger of freedom;
What else
is left?
After all the world has ignored,
Nothing more than sympathy.
Where is a helping hand
to the ones that really need?
Only the soldiers are getting stronger
from the international energy bars.
Life is pretty ironic at times,
I've heard there also exist ups and downs,
and life also exhibits twist and turn,
But when will it come?
The huge downfall of the crooks.
Please wipe them all
All from this surface of the earth.
For the goodness sake
Please take them away;
to where they belong,
All the way
All the way
--------
Away from our sadness and dismay.

A Song for Those Who Choose Their Way

My Way
Frank Sinatra

Lyrics:
And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case,
of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life thats full.
I've traveled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Regrets,
I've had a few; But then again,
too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Yes, there were times,
I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.
I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,I did it my way.
For what is a man,
what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows
I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Here We are Together

Dedicated together
in our heart
in our soul;
with one helping hand
with one voice
with one tear
and with one goal
Let's fill up the empty bowl.

from Living in Fear towards Living Without Fear

People of Burma are living in fear of a group of people who are fear of anything and everything. Fear is the basic structure of Burma, and unfortunately, fear is also the basic block of the traditional element of culture which the previous generations had mistakenly applied (or some would say systematically manipulated by General Ne Win) to their unfortunate children in a wrong way. I have heard so many times of "Don't ask why", "Don't talk back", "Don't go take a look, stay away from trouble, no matter what", "Don't get involved", "Don't ----", "Don't ---", etc, etc. Culturally, physical punishment is considered as a good disciplinary for the children. Not only almost all children are being spanked harshly at some time by their parents, but the parents do also go and suggest the head figures of the community such as teachers, elder aunts and uncles and neighbors that to spank/hit their children if any inappropriate behaviour has ever come across in front of them. Most children are raised up in fear of who would say what and getting used to taking anything they were told to without speaking up for themselves. Traditionally, elders (authority figures) are always right and even when they do get caught being wrong, apology is rarely granted to the younger one. If we let our children live without fear, if we start teaching the children to stand up for the right thing, and if we start respecting our children for their opinions and their choices, may be --- may be --- someday in some way, younger generations of Burma will be living without fear, coming together and start deciding to take actions on choosing the kind of life that they have ever wanted.

People and Politics

When visiting to Burma, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon said that he has interest in "Focus on people, not politics" while answering the question regarding his visit and the status of Daw Aung San Su Kyii. Is he not considering Daw Aung San Su Kyii as a person, a group of which in a large number becomes people? If he cannot even help one person who has a biggest potential in the group of people to whom he is focusing on, how will he help the rest of the helpless souls? All the help UN has done is just nurturing and nourishing the growth of the Burmese military junta in past two decades. There is a famous line from Burmese people for UN, "Help us, don't help us."
