Free Bird
Free Bird Toward to a Free BurmaMy home....
where I was born and raised
used to be warm and lovely;
now filled with darkness and horror.
My family....
whom I had grown with
used to be cheerful and lively;
now living with fear and terror.
My friends....
whom I shared my life with
used to be pure and merry;
now living with wounded heart.
A free bird...
which is just freed
used to be caged
now flying with an olive branch
for the place it loves.

Poem of the day
Tine Thi Bar Ye Mere-za-lee pin pyo aut
Paut par dae shwe ta-mar
Khar chat ka nar;
Yay see yere ta khar
Yay thar yere ta hlaet,
Thu myar lo dou ma yine dere
Tine thi bar ye.
Sayar Zaw Gyi.
The Whole World Knows
Under the young Mere-zalee plant,
Ta-mar has to grow
Therefore, the bitterness has outgrown;
When there is an up tide
Down tide will also flow,
Unlike them, our morality is not too low
And the whole world knows.
translated by Moon
Note: Mere-zalee and Ta-mar are the local plants prevelant in Burma known for their bitter taste.

For Devil's Little Helpers
I am deeply feeling sorry for those who have killed Burmese monks, who have disrobed the monks, who has tortured the monks, and those who had helped this awful military in any form of co-operation and helping them to have power. Because, the helpers will also share their credit too, directly or indirectly. Although all of those monks are not saints, I am sure, a few are sure to be saints, and a lot more surely have a spiritual values much more than laymen people. According to Buddha's teaching, the basic 5 percepts includes abstinence from killing, --- even killing of an animal or little bugs. Sure, the evilness has the power and seems like they are having an upper hand, but in reality, --- in the course of Than-tha-yar, after this life, where would they go??? Where would they hide??? Everybody is immortal and one eventually has to leave this short life so soon. A lot of Sanga are shedding their blood, but they pay for only this life. They will also be remembered in the hearts of people of Burma with much love for always and ever. For those who think they are on the winner side, I wonder, how their names will be left in the history??? How people will always remember them??? How will they be able to face everyday with this guilt of blood staining the Thar-tha-nar??? Sure, those oppressors and Devil's little helpers do not have conscious of guilt in the first place, if one must say, but still,--- eventually when they die, what will they really carry along with them to travel in this Than-tha-yar??? All the power, money, everything has to be left behind for sure. I am deeply feeling sorry for them for what they have done cannot be undone. The kamma will follow them like a shadow forever and always. May Buddha, Dhamma and Sanga bless their soul.

In the memories of Heroes

Prayers for the self-sacrifice heroes.
No matter how the oppressors (Burmese junta) might frame to infamous the innocent people (eg, like planting the evidence of weapons in the monasteries, their courage and sincerity would never be tainted in the light of truth. Their cause will never be faded in the hearts of Burmese. May Buddha, Dhamma, and Sanga bless those heroes' souls.
May the oppressors have the strength to sustain the pressure of the truth in their unconscious mind.

Burmese Tempo
Tears and cries make you proud. As loud as you can ever imagine.
Gun fires and the bullet shells
We don’t want our people to be spelled.
Who can save our own country life?
Run and run until you’ve exhausted
But your courage has conquered the regime
Where they are now living desperately.
This is not the bullets world
Where we trade life with the guns.
This is not the scarlet world
Where they take the steps with blood.
Saffron robes has marched into the city.
They bring courage and inspiration to the glory.
I can’t imagine how long they still have to march.
But I am certain the country is watched.
Every bullets and batons made our hearts hard.
And the world has now stood up.
How I wish my country to retain peace.
Where the people would live with dignity.

Disturbing Time
I have bowed never to discuss politic and religion. Now, what is happening in Myanmar, the combination of politic and religion, has disturbed my thoughts significantly. I have felt this frustration, feeling of helplessness, all my life while living in Myanmar long ago. I am still--- now feeling the frustration and helplessness all over again. I do not understand why. Why??? Why the dictators have to ruthlessly kill and torture people in each and every incidents in the history? Why we, Myanmar, people always just have to protest and die? (If we can see some master minded plan with the vision and mission, something like in the movie "Ocean Eleven", in throwing over the dictatorship, it would be nice. We had "Ye-paw thone gyate" in colonial time. I would love to hear a "Min-ko-naing Fifteen" or something like that.) I am tired of seeing the news like "Myanmar people fight for human rights, and the world is watching". The world is watching??? --- watching for what??? --- watching to see the people got tortured and die again and again??? I guess it is so true that freedom is not free. Freedom comes with the responsibilities and the sacrifice of thousands of lives of innocent frustrated people, great leaders, courageous knights, brave heroes, and in this case in Myanmar, it is even the sacrifice of revered monks. And it is very pathetic to hear the military dictators are saying with the excuse of "to keep peace and order in the country" in killing the people. If they really want to keep peace and order, it is very simple, stop the genocide, and gracefully step down and let go of the power. As simple as that. listen song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQFwtWYhRK8

My moon cake
How Do I Love Thee? (Sonnet 43)
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
(1806-1861)
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

My Sweet Pea
Second is as charming as the first one.
Second and the last. My last love ---
who is giving me a bigger heart,
a sense to multiply love, and a sense to multiply light.
Love is infinite.
And with this infinite love,
I love you, my sweet pea ---
Until to the days when the whole world ends.

Romance
Remembering the days where romance could be everywhere and anywhere. Playing guitar under the moonlight, ---walking in the rain, --- little dried flowers pressed in the diaries, --- falling leaves, ---poems jotted down in the back of the note books, --- a small cup of black coffee, ---a pair of black velvet slipper, --- a distinct ring tone, --- tiny unattractive tea house by the bus station, --- etc, etc.It is a feeling of youth, feeling of re freshness. It is also a feeling of energy, and the desire to conquer the world. Romance is euphoric, but it defines our lives in a harsh reality. Romance is simple things which become so special in the light of love and affection. It should not poison the soul of the ones being involved in it. Misconception of romance with the poisonous desire is becoming so common that it is so sad to hear those stories. Life would be more peaceful if one can love truly, deeply, madly, and romantically in a small simple ways.

To Become
I hope for finding the courage. Courage to live, courage to fight, courage to smile, and courage to do what is right. Courage to stray away from the self pittyness and the life long fear that has driven to live for the image that would please the people around. Be truthful to yourself and that alone will bring self satisfaction for one's life. Hoping --- one day --- we will find the courage, before it is too late. Listen Here:
Lyrics:
"Let Me Fall (From Cirque Du Soleil)"
by JOSH GROBAN
Let me fall ---Let me climb
There's a moment when fear
And dreams must collide
Someone I am Is waiting for courage
The one I want---The one I will become will catch me
So let me fall ---if I must fall
I won't heed your warnings ---I won't hear them
Let me fall ---If I fall
Though the phoenix may ---Or may not rise
I will dance so freely ---Holding on to no one
You can hold me only ---If you too will fall
Away from all these ---Useless fears and chains
Someone I am is waiting for my courage
The one I want ---The one I will become will catch me
So let me fall ---if I must fall
I won't heed your warnings ---I won't hear
Let me fall ---If I fall
There's no reason ---to miss this one chance
This perfect moment ---Just let me fall

Reflection
Time has comeyet we are still undone;
when the light of truth has it's turn.
Come, come, come away with me---
though I had given my hands,
she has turned her head and
left my heart broken.
Pain was real,
Shattered dreams were real,
Tears were real.
At the end,
The burning bridges---
And when the table had turned,
There was nothing left to be spoken.
Life is sweet yet life has demands
now--- it's time that you should
done what has undone.
Time has come
yet we are still undone:
whenthe light of truth has it's turn.
